Privacy Policy

What information Huck collects, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have. It applies to business owners and to the customers they serve through Huck.

1. Scope and who we are

This Privacy Policy explains how Sherpp Inc., doing business as Huck ("Huck," "we," "us"), collects, uses, and shares personal information. It covers hellohuck.com, hellohuck.ai, our apps, our phone and text lines, and our services (the "Service").

We deal with two groups of people:

• Business customers. The service businesses that sign up for Huck, and their owners and staff. For their information, Huck decides how it is used.
• Their customers and contacts. Homeowners, callers, subcontractors, and others who talk to a business through Huck. For this information, Huck is a service provider (processor) to the business. The business decides how it is used. If you are one of these people, contact the business you dealt with first. We will help them answer your request.

We do not sell personal information for money. We never use the personal information of a business's customers for our own advertising.

2. Information we collect

From business customers

• Account details: name, business name, email, phone, address, trade, service area, licenses, and login details
• Billing details: plan, billing history, and the last four digits and type of your card. Stripe collects your full card or bank details, not Huck (Section 5).
• Payout and identity details: to collect payments from your customers, Stripe collects identity, tax, and bank details for your connected account. Huck receives account status and limited details from Stripe.
• Business setup: prices, hours, policies, and instructions you give Huck
• Usage data: how you use the Service, device and browser type, IP address, and logs

From your customers and contacts, on your behalf

• Contact details: name, phone, email, and service address
• Calls and messages: call recordings, voicemails, transcripts, texts, emails, and chat messages
• Job details: photos, quotes, appointments, invoices, payment status, signatures, and reviews
• Subcontractor and vendor documents: certificates of insurance, W-9s, licenses, and lien waivers. W-9s include tax ID numbers, which we treat as sensitive.

From website visitors

• Information you type into forms, such as name, email, and phone
• Cookies and similar tools that record pages viewed, referring site, and ad clicks (Section 3)

From other sources

• Public business data, such as state license records and business listings, to verify businesses and to find businesses that may want Huck
• Partners who refer you to us, such as a general contractor or association
• Tools you connect, such as QuickBooks Online or your calendar

3. How we use information

• To run the Service: answer calls and texts, quote, book, invoice, collect payments, send reminders, and keep records
• To bill you and manage your subscription
• To support you and send service notices
• To keep things safe: prevent fraud, spam, and abuse, and secure our systems
• To improve the Service: fix bugs, test features, and improve call and message quality
• To build benchmarks from de-identified, aggregated data that does not identify any person or business
• To market Huck to businesses: send product news to business customers and prospects. You can unsubscribe at any time.
• To meet legal duties: taxes, carrier rules, court orders, and law enforcement requests

AI processing

Huck uses AI models from third-party providers to understand and answer calls and messages, transcribe audio, draft quotes, and read documents. These providers process data only to deliver the Service to us. Our contracts with them bar them from training their general models on your data.

Cookies and advertising

Our website uses cookies and similar tools to keep it working, measure traffic, and see which ads bring business owners to us. This can include advertising tools from companies such as Meta and Google. You can block cookies in your browser. We honor Global Privacy Control signals as an opt-out where state law requires. These tools run on our marketing website only, not on payment pages or messages sent to a business's customers.

4. Calls, recordings, and text messages

Calls

Calls to a business that uses Huck, and calls to Huck itself, may be answered by an AI assistant. They may be recorded and transcribed so we can complete the request, keep accurate records, and improve quality. Where required, the caller hears a notice at the start of the call. If you do not want to be recorded, you can hang up and contact the business another way.

Text messages

• Who texts you. You may get texts from a business that uses Huck, about your quote, appointment, job, invoice, or payment. Huck may also text business owners about their account.
• Frequency and cost. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply.
• Stop and help. Reply STOP to opt out at any time. Reply HELP for help, or email support@hellohuck.com. After you opt out, you may get one message confirming it.
• No marketing sharing. No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Text messaging opt-in data and consent are excluded from every sharing category in this Policy and will not be shared with any third party, except our service providers who help us deliver the messages.
• Carriers. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

5. Payments and Stripe

Huck uses Stripe, Inc. ("Stripe") for all payments. Huck does not see or store full card numbers or bank account numbers.

• Paying for Huck. When a business pays for Huck, including through a Huck payment link or Stripe Checkout, Stripe collects the card or bank details. We receive the payment result, the card type, the last four digits, the expiry date, and the billing address.
• Paying a business through Huck. When a homeowner or other customer pays an invoice through Huck, Stripe collects the payment details on behalf of the business. We receive the payment status and amount and limited card details so we can mark the invoice paid.
• Businesses that accept payments. Stripe collects identity, tax ID, and bank details to open and verify the business's Stripe connected account. Huck shares business and transaction information with Stripe as needed for this.
• Stripe's own use. Stripe uses payment information to process payments, prevent fraud, and meet legal duties. Stripe's handling is covered by the Stripe Privacy Policy.
• Financing. If a customer applies for financing through a partner such as Wisetack, that partner collects the application data under its own privacy policy.

6. How we share information

We share personal information only as follows:

We may share de-identified or aggregated data that cannot reasonably identify any person or business.

7. Retention and security

Retention

We keep personal information while a business account is active and as long as needed for the purposes in this Policy.

• After a business closes its account, it can export its data for 30 days. We then delete or de-identify it within 90 days, except where we must keep it longer.
• We keep billing, tax, and payment records as long as the law requires, usually up to 7 years.
• Text opt-out records are kept so we keep honoring the opt-out.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards. These include encryption in transit, access controls, and limits on who can see recordings and sensitive documents such as W-9s. No system is perfectly secure. If a breach affects your personal information, we will notify you and the businesses involved as the law requires.

Data is stored and processed in the United States.

8. Your choices and rights

• Marketing email: use the unsubscribe link in any email.
• Texts: reply STOP.
• Cookies: block them in your browser, or use Global Privacy Control.
• Account data: business customers can view, edit, and export most data in the app.

State privacy rights

Depending on where you live (for example California, Colorado, Connecticut, Texas, Virginia, and other states with privacy laws), you may have the right to:

• Know what personal information we hold about you and get a copy
• Correct it
• Delete it
• Opt out of targeted advertising, sale, or profiling
• Limit use of sensitive personal information
• Not be treated differently for using these rights

To make a request, email privacy@hellohuck.com. We will verify your identity before acting. An authorized agent may act for you with your written permission. If we deny your request, you can appeal by replying to our decision. If you are a customer of a business that uses Huck, we will pass your request to that business and help it respond.

9. Children, changes, and contact

• Children. The Service is for businesses. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information. If you think we have, contact us and we will delete it.
• Changes. We may update this Policy. We will post the new version with a new "Last updated" date. For material changes, we will notify business customers by email or in the app before they take effect.
• Language. We may provide this Policy in Spanish. If the versions conflict, the English version controls.
